🐾 Cat Lounge Guidelines

Our cats are friendly, but like all animals, they can be unpredictable. These guidelines help keep both our feline residents and our human guests safe,

comfortable, and happy during every visit.

🧼 Before You Enter

• Sanitize your hands when you arrive in the lounge.

• Keep the doors secure - one door must remain closed at all times. Please let staff know when you’re leaving so we can watch for any curious escape artists.

• ​

🍪 Food & Drinks

• Only food and drinks purchased from our café may enter the lounge.

• Drinks must have lids, and baked goods should stay in a closed container when you’re not eating them.

• Please keep an eye on your items so the cats don’t sneak a taste - no human food or drinks for the kitties.

• ​

🐱 Interacting With the Cats

• Please don’t pick up the cats - sitting on the floor and letting them come to you is the best way to make friends.

• Be gentle and calm. No running, chasing, yelling, or sudden movements.

• If a cat walks away, that’s their polite way of saying they’re done.

• Sleeping cats may be gently petted, but let them rest.

• Please don’t disturb cats while they’re eating or drinking.

😺 Session Details

• Lounge visits last 50 minutes, allowing us time to clean between groups.

• Cats can be sensitive to loud noises and unpredictable behavior - a quiet, relaxed atmosphere helps them feel safe.

👶 Children & Supervision

• Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult (18+).

• We require one adult for every 2 children to ensure safe, respectful interactions.

• Adults are responsible for supervising their children at all times.

🐕 Service Animals

• For the safety of both animals, service animals are not permitted inside the cat lounge.

• ​

📝 Waivers

• A signed waiver is required for every guest entering the lounge.

• Adults signing for minors: If a guest is under 18, their parent or legal guardian must sign the waiver and accept all terms on the minor’s behalf, including responsibility for their conduct and safety.

🚫 Zero-Tolerance Policy

To protect our cats and maintain a peaceful environment, we reserve the right to ask any guest to leave if they are disruptive or not following the rules. This may occur without a refund. 9 Lives Café has a zero-tolerance policy for any behavior that causes distress to our animals.
